Spent most of his season in the Rockies organization at Triple-A Albuquerque, going 1-0 with a 2.48 ERA (8ER/29IP) in 30 appearances...picked up five saves, while striking out 41 in his 29.0 innings...limited Triple-A lefties to a .152 batting average... Was added to the Major League roster for a three-week stint from July 16-Aug. 5...made four appearances for the Rockies, posting a 3.00 ERA (1ER/3IP)...allowed a solo homer to Max Muncy for his only run allowed on the season... Was acquired via trade from the Chicago Cubs on June 26 in exchange for right-handed pitcher Matt Carasiti and made nine appearances over three stints with the Rockies ... Scoreless in eight of 10 appearances with the Rockies ... Scoreless in six appearances after his last recall on Sept. 1 … two hits and no walks with five strikeouts over that span ... Did not allow a hit to a left-handed batter (0-for-15) … was the only player in MLB to face at least 15 lefthanded hitters and not allow a hit ... Allowed a season-high three earned runs on Aug. 5 vs. Philadelphia, his most since allowing a career-high six runs Aug. 30, 2014 at St. Louis ... Made one appearance with the Cubs on May 22, pitching 0.2 scoreless innings ... Zac Rosscup went 2-1 with a 4.39 ERA (13 ER/26.2 IP) in 33 games across three stints with the Cubs … had six holds, struck out 29 batters and walked 13 … held lefties to a .158 average (6-for-38) while righties batted .308 (20-for-65). Allowed one or zero runs in 30 of his 33 outings. Was recalled for the first time, April 14, and went 1-0 with a two holds and a 0.93 ERA (1 ER/9.2 IP) in his first nine relief appearances. Pitched a career-high 2.0-scoreless frames, April 18 vs. San Diego, fanning two batters and allowing just one hit. Was placed on the 15-day disabled list, June 17, with left shoulder inflammation … made rehab outings with Rookie League Mesa, Double-A Tennessee and Iowa before being activated and optioned to Iowa, August 13. Was recalled for a second time, August 24, and appeared in just one game before being optioned to Iowa, August 27 … was recalled for the final time, September 7. With Iowa, posted no record with a 4.76 ERA (6 ER/11.1 IP) in 11 relief outings, fanning 20 hitters in 11.1 innings pitched. In his first season with the Cubs organization, spent the entire campaign at Single-A Daytona, going 4-2 with a 2.54 ERA (14 ER/49.2 IP) with 50 strikeouts in 11 games (nine starts) during an injury-shortened season... Traded to the Cubs in January of 2011 with pitcher Matt Garza and outfielder Fernando Perez as part of an eight-player deal... Struck out a season-high nine hitters in 5.0 innings, June 16 at Brevard County... Did not allow a home run in his first 27.0 innings of work … finished the year surrendering four homers in 49.2 innings... Placed on Daytona's seven-day D.L., June 23-September 12, with a left shoulder sprain, ending his season.
