Ausmus was placed on the disabled last week when he experienced discomfort down his left leg and numbness in his left foot. It was the first time Ausmus was sidelined in a 17-year career. The Dodgers replaced him by calling up A.J. Ellis, who caught Sunday's game in Florida.
Ausmus also had an epidural injection during Spring Training when he had spasms on the opposite side of his back. He will be re-examined Wednesday.
