Dodgers place Juan Uribe on DL, recall Carlos Triunfel


LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today placed infielder Juan Uribe on the 15-day disabled list with a right hamstring strain and recalled infielder Carlos Triunfel from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Triunfel will be appearing in his fifth stint with the Dodgers (11 G) this season and last played for Albuquerque on Thursday vs. Memphis, going 1-for-4 with a run scored. The Dominican Republic native has shown his versatility in the field for the Isotopes, playing in games at shortstop (51), second base (22) and third base (7).

Uribe, who will be placed on the disabled list for the second time this season, is batting .293 (89-for-304) with six homers and 35 RBI in 81 games.
