Angels on the mound: Left-hander Scott Kazmir made his Spring Training debut, allowing two runs on five hits over 2 1/3 innings. Kazmir also walked two and struck out Matt Kemp in the third inning before exiting the game because of a high pitch count. Right-handed relievers Fernando Rodney and Kevin Jepsen also made their Spring Training debuts. Rodney threw just two-thirds of an inning and walked two batters but didn't allow a run because Jon Bachanov came in and got out of the jam. What's next: Right-hander Jered Weaver will take the mound when the Angels travel to Peoria to play the Padres at Peoria Stadium for a 1:05 p.m. PT game on Tuesday. Weaver has made two Spring Training starts and has a 5.79 ERA over 4 2/3 innings. Shortstop Erick Aybar is also expected to rejoin the lineup as the club's designated hitter because he's still a few days away from returning to the field with a sore right arm.

The Dodgers are off on Tuesday -- their first of only two off-days of Spring Training -- before returning to action by hosting their Camelback Ranch neighbor White Sox on Wednesday. The "A" team will reunite, as the players who'd traveled to Taiwan return to the lineup, including Manny Ramirez, James Loney and Ronnie Belliard. The other Ortiz, Russ, is scheduled to start on the mound.
