DENVER -- Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig made another one of his amazing misplay-recoveries Saturday.

With no outs in the bottom of the eighth inning and Wilin Rosario on second base, Puig broke in on a line drive by Drew Stubbs off Brandon League. With the liner heading over the right fielder's head, Puig changed direction, broke back and toward center, sprinted to intercept the ball and made an all-out diving catch nearly as spectacular as the one in New York on May 22.

Perhaps more surprising, Puig leapt to his feet, hit cutoff shortstop Hanley Ramirez with a powerful strike, and Ramirez easily threw out Rosario, who belatedly tried to tag and advance to third base. Double play.

"I was wondering how it went that far, it sounded like the bat broke," said manager Don Mattingly. "He came in and made a great play after a bad read. A great recovery."

"A great play," said starting pitcher Dan Haren. "He's made a couple like that this year."

Puig declined to speak with reporters after the game.
