"I remember in '98 in Colorado, I was sick, had to watch the game at the hotel. I was 10," said Dee. "In Houston in '04, during the Home Run Derby, I was in the outfield trying to steal home runs at the fence and they kicked me off the field. In Pittsburgh in '06, I had just graduated from high school, about to go to college. I didn't shag during the Home Run Derby then. Thought I was too cool for that."

Although Chase Utley is a runaway leader in fan voting to be the NL starting second baseman, Gordon is a close third behind Neil Walker. After being his dad's guest, Dee said he would love to return the favor.
"It would be crazy to be in the game and have my dad there," he said. "I know when he's at a game, I'm always looking for him in the crowd. Even if I don't play, just to be there for the first time, just in case they need me to win, it would be great to be on the team."
Gordon leads the Major Leagues with 40 stolen bases and nine triples.
