Dodgers reach 10,000 wins in franchise history

|

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers yesterday reached 10,000 wins in franchise history with their 6-4 victory over the Minnesota Twins at Target Field. This milestone will be celebrated with a special $10 ticket offer and commemorative pin giveaway on June 4 (vs. Chicago White Sox, 7:10 p.m.). The first 40,000 fans in attendance on June 4 will receive a 10,000 wins commemorative pin (pictured below). A pre-game ceremony, including a DodgerVision video tribute, will take place prior to the 7:10 p.m. game. The limited amount of $10 reserved and left-field pavilion tickets are available for purchase now, while supplies last, at www.dodgers.com/10k.

The Dodgers won 5,214 games in Brooklyn (1890-1957) and have now won 4,786 games in Los Angeles (1958-present). Only the Giants (10,709), Cubs (10,447) and Braves (10,421) have won more games than the Dodgers. The Giants reached 10,000 wins in 2005, the Cubs in 2008 and the Braves reached this milestone in 2011. The Dodgers' all-time official National League record now stands at 10,000-9082.
