"It sounds like he came out good," Mattingly said. "We'll have him throw a 'pen and go from there."
Mattingly said, without a setback, the club most likely would start Kershaw on his regular five-day cycle and give an extra day of rest to Zack Greinke, who made his sixth start of the season on Wednesday night.
"We'll probably give Zack the extra day," Mattingly said. "I don't think it will bother him at all."
Josh Beckett, Paul Maholm and Hyun-Jin Ryu will start the three games in Miami. Kershaw's return to the rotation will result in the bumping of someone -- most likely Maholm -- to the bullpen, assuming everyone is healthy.
