In 1977, the Dodgers became the first team in MLB history to have four 30 home run hitters. The club will welcome the legendary quartet and 1977 National League Champions Dusty Baker, Reggie Smith, Ron Cey and Steve Garvey who will throw the ceremonial first pitch.
The Los Angeles Police Department's Cadets will unfurl a giant flag in center field prior to the national anthem. R&B singer Jeffrey Osborne will perform the national anthem. Osborne sang the anthem before Game 3 of the 1988 World Series, a championship year for the Dodgers, and on various occasions at Dodger Stadium including Jackie Robinson Day in 2010 and 2012.
The Veteran of the Game tomorrow is U.S. Marine Corps Colonel Wilmer Zambrano of Wayne, New Jersey. Zambrano's accolades include a Combat Action Medal for his service while deployed to Afghanistan.
