LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers have given away bobbleheads of Hall of Fame players, broadcasters and managers, but next year, for the first time, they'll be honoring a Hall of Fame point guard.

New ownership partner Magic Johnson will be included in the 2013 bobblehead lineup, which the club announced Friday with the release of its 2013 promotions schedule.

Johnson (Sept. 12) has been added to bobblehead giveaways of Dodgers Hall of Famers Sandy Koufax (June 27), Vin Scully (July 25) and Jaime Jarrin (May 25), and current players Adrian Gonzalez (July 11), Matt Kemp (May 14), Hanley "I See You" Ramirez (April 30) and broadcaster Rick "Saved the Flag" Monday (Aug. 27). Two other bobblehead nights will be announced for June 6 and Aug. 10.

Johnson also will be featured in a second giveaway item, a Magic T-shirt (May 28). Hello Kitty also returns to the slate with a fleece blanket (April 17) and mini-bobblehead (Sept. 9).

The 2013 season opens at Dodger Stadium on April 1 against the World Series champion San Francisco Giants. On April 15, the Dodgers will commemorate Jackie Robinson Night against the Padres with a statue of Robinson, Don Newcombe and Roy Campanella.

Among the popular promotions the Dodgers will continue in 2013 are Friday Night Fireworks, Mother's Day totebag, Back to School backpack, two Barks in the Park, Viva Los Dodgers and Fan Appreciation Day.

Viva Los Dodgers enter its fourth year of celebrating Latino culture in Los Angeles and the legacy of Latin American Dodgers, both past and present. The family-friendly pregame festival is held in Parking Lot 6 two hours prior to each Sunday's game.

Returning after a lengthy hiatus will be an Old Timers' Day game on June 8 between the Dodgers and Yankees.

And fittingly for a club that had 26 disabling injuries this year, the Dodgers will give away a kids' compression sleeve June 9. The full promotional schedule is now available at www.dodgers.com/promotions.

The Dodgers will again offer a 10-game bobblehead mini plan that enables fans to purchase all 10 bobblehead promotional dates. A 15-game plan includes all 10 bobblehead games, Opening Day and four other promotional dates. The Dodgers' 20- and 30-game Pick 'Em plans offer fans the most flexibility and best mini plan locations. Mini plan pricing starts at $11, and complete details are available now at www.dodgers.com/miniplans .
