Beckett's company suing pipeline builder
A company owned by Dodgers right-hander Josh Beckett is suing a pipeline builder regarding work on a South Texas ranch, which the company claims ruined the habitat of the endangered ocelot, according to The Associated Press.

According to the report, a lawsuit was filed in Laredo, Texas, on Tuesday claiming Eagle Ford Midstream LP cleared land to build a natural gas pipeline, which violates the federal Endangered Species Act.

The suit reportedly says the pipeline builder was awarded eminent domain on land owned by Beckett Ventures Inc., and told the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service that it wasn't a suitable habitat for ocelots, which it is.

According to the report, Beckett's company claims the pipeline builder engaged in "willful destruction" by continuing to work after the right-hander's company threatened to sue in August.
