Victorino will work alongside host Matt Winer, Dennis Eckersley and David Wells in the Atlanta studio. Victorino is a replacement for Dodgers teammate Matt Kemp, who underwent shoulder surgery on Friday.
Victorino has been a familiar face in October since 2007. In 46 postseason games, Victorino hit .269/.338/.446 with six home runs and 30 RBIs. He played in two World Series and helped the Phillies to the 2008 title, but was sent to the Dodgers just before the Trade Deadline in July.
Victorino, who will be eligible for free agency for the first time in his career, batted just .245 with 26 runs in 53 games for the Dodgers, who go into 2013 with the expectation of having Carl Crawford, Kemp and Andre Ethier in their outfield.
The TBS studio seat is open in the Division Series while Cal Ripken Jr. is making his postseason debut on the primary TBS broadcast announcing team, along with Ernie Johnson and John Smoltz. When TBS moves to the American League Championship Series, Ron Darling will join the primary announcing team and Ripken will move back to the Atlanta studio.
