LOS ANGELES -- Hyo Kwon left the Dodger Stadium operations crew a few years ago to open her own business, a cupcake shop in Pasadena, Calif.

With the Dodgers hosting the National League Championship Series on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday, if necessary, Kwon wanted to do her part to contribute to the festive atmosphere by donating 600 cupcakes for the media to enjoy during each Los Angeles home game of the series.

"We just kind of wanted to participate in any way we could," Kwon said. "It's a good thing to do. It's a good dessert for everybody."

Kwon, whose cupcake shop is called "Dots," baked a dozen different varieties of cupcakes and included a flag with an "NLCS 2008" logo on top of each snack and her company's logo on the back.

Kwon said she learned to work under pressure during her three years with the Dodgers, when she was entrusted to please an endless stream of customers at Dodger Stadium.

Now on her own, business is good at "Dots," with plans to open a second store in Old Town Pasadena in the fall.

"I kind of learned a lot from working with the Dodgers that helped me own my own business, so just to be a part of it is very exciting," Kwon said.

It's also exciting for the media members who get to enjoy her delectable treats, as well.
