Dodgers announce Minor League coaches
LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers Thursday announced their Minor League coaching staffs for 2012 with minimal changes from 2011, when four of the seven affiliates reached the postseason.

The core of assistant general manager DeJon Watson's Minor League management team returns: field coordinator Bruce Hines; senior advisors for player development P.J. Carey, Gene Clines and Charlie Hough; senior advisor of Latin America Ramon Martinez; Minor League pitching coordinator Rafael Chaves; hitting coordinator Eric Owens; and catching coordinator Travis Barbary.

The Triple-A and Double-A staffs return intact: manager Lorenzo Bundy and coaches John Valentin and Glenn Dishman at Albuquerque; manager Carlos Subero and coaches Franklin Stubbs and Chuck Crim at Chattanooga.

Manager Juan Bustabad and hitting coach Michael Boughton return at Class A Rancho Cucamonga, joined by pitching coach Matt Herges. Manager John Shoemaker returns at Class A Great Lakes for his 36th season in the organization, joined by new hitting coach Razor Shines and pitching coach Hector Berrios.

Manager Damon Berryhill and pitching coach Bill Simas return to short-season Ogden, joined by former Dodger Doug Mientkiewicz making his debut as hitting coach.

Matt Martin and Jody Reed have swapped roles, with Martin the coordinator of Arizona instruction and manager at Arizona Rookie League, Reed now the system infield coordinator. Leo Garcia returns as Arizona hitting coach with Kremlin Martinez the pitching coach.

Manager Pedro Mega and pitching coach Alejandro Pena return with Rookie League Santo Domingo, joined by new hitting coach Keyter Collado. Henry Cruz and Antonio Bautista return as Campo Las Palmas coordinator and field coordinator, respectively.

This year's Santo Domingo hitting coach, Esteban Lopez, is now a coach at Camelback Ranch-Glendale, where he joins Jim Slaton and Johnny Washington.

Herges moves from pitching coach at Arizona Rookie League to Class A Rancho Cucamonga, Berrios goes from pitching coach at Rancho Cucamonga to Class A Great Lakes and Martinez goes from pitching coach at Great Lakes to pitching coach at Arizona Rookie League.

Staff members not returning next year are Great Lakes hitting coach Lenny Harris and outfield/base running coordinator Rodney McCray. Shines replaces Harris and Damon Mashore replaces McCray.
