Dodgers at the plate: Blake DeWitt was 3-for-4 with a triple, a home run and two RBIs. His solo shot off Ryan Houston led off the eighth frame. Mark Sweeney was 2-for-3 with two singles.

Astros at the plate: Michael Bourn was 2-for-4 with two singles and a stolen base. Miguel Tejada was 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Dodgers on the mound: Starter Hiroki Kuroda allowed six runs on six hits with one walk and two strikeouts over three frames. The Astros plated five in the second behind six hits, including three for extra bases.

Astros on the mound: Starter Shawn Chacon rated his outing "G -- for garbage." The right-hander yielded five runs on five hits over three innings, walking two and striking out one. The Dodgers recorded five runs off Chacon in the third inning.

Grapefruit League records: Dodgers 6-9; Astros 7-10.

Up next for the Dodgers: The Dodgers will host the Cardinals on Friday at Dodgertown. Right-hander Esteban Loaiza is slated to start for the Dodgers. He will be followed by Jonathan Broxton, Joe Beimel and Yheney Brazoban. The Cardinals will start right-hander Clay Mortensen.

Up next for the Astros: The Astros will host the Tigers for their first night game of Spring Training at Osceola County Stadium. The game begins at 7:05 p.m. ET and will feature two lefties: Houston's Wandy Rodriguez and Detroit's Nate Robertson. Oscar Villarreal, Mark McLemore and Doug Brocail are also slated to pitch.
