LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers have signed three players to Minor League contracts with invitations to Major League Spring Training.
They are left-handed pitcher Matt Riley, right-handed pitcher Alfredo Simon and outfielder George Lombard.
Riley was 0-1 with a 1.47 ERA at Double-A Jacksonville and 5-4 with a 6.53 ERA at Triple-A Las Vegas in the Dodgers' system; Simon was 5-10 with a 6.43 ERA for Texas' Triple-A Oklahoma City affiliate; Lombard hit .244 with four homers and 11 RBIs for Washington's Triple-A Columbus affiliate.
Lombard is a former second-round pick of Atlanta. Riley was a third-round pick by Baltimore. He's undergone three Tommy John elbow reconstructive surgeries.
