PHOENIX -- Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig was ejected from Thursday's 4-0 loss to the Cubs by plate umpire Tom Woodring.

With one out in the seventh inning, Puig was called out on strikes by Woodring for the second time in the game. Puig then angrily slammed his bat into the ground, and Woodring ejected him.

Woodring then held up the game until Puig went into the Dodgers' dugout, collected his gear and headed toward the clubhouse. As a smiling Adrian Gonzalez walked Puig to the Dodgers' clubhouse, Puig waved to Woodring.
