LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers pitcher Hiroki Kuroda will make a significant contribution to ThinkCure on Sunday before the final game of a three-game series against the Angels, which has been dubbed ThinkCure Weekend.
ThinkCure is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for cancer research projects at City of Hope and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.
Kuroda, who lost both of his parents to cancer, will be making a donation for the third consecutive year. He has given more than $100,000 to the charity.
Throughout the weekend series, the Dodgers will be encouraging fans in attendance at Dodger Stadium to donate. They are offering an assortment of prizes and gifts for the donations.
