Twins at the plate: Jason Kubel drove in two runs for the Twins as part of a 2-for-3 performance at the plate. Michael Cuddyer continued his strong spring as he went 2-for-3 to raise his average to .385. Glenn Williams delivered a solo home run in the seventh inning.

Dodgers at the plate: Wilson Valdez hit a solo homer in the fifth inning. Andre Ethier drove in two runs with a single in the sixth and Ramon Martinez added two more RBIs later in the inning with a single to make it a four-run inning.

Twins on the mound: Ramon Ortiz was impressive in his second start of the spring, pitching three scoreless innings with one strikeout as he retired all nine batters that he faced. Lefty Glen Perkins, a candidate for a spot in the rotation, lasted two innings as he gave up one run on five hits while striking out two. Left-handed reliever Randy Choate struggled as he allowed four runs on three hits in one inning.

Dodgers on the mound: Jason Schmidt started for L.A. and allowed just one run on two hits during his two innings. He walked one and struck out three. Left-hander Mark Hendrickson, a candidate for the fifth spot in the rotation, pitched two innings and allowed one run on three hits with three strikeouts.

Grapefruit League records: Twins 1-5-1; Dodgers 4-3.

Up next: The Dodgers will head back to Vero Beach, where they will play host to the Cardinals in a 10:05 a.m. PT start. Right-hander Brad Penny will take to the mound for L.A. The Twins will host the Pirates in a 10:05 contest at Hammond Stadium. Right-hander Boof Bonser will make his second start of the spring.
