Kemp keeping Tigres afloat in playoffs

Kemp helps keep Tigres in Dominican playoffs

Matt Kemp is wrapping up a solid Dominican Winter League postseason for the Tigres del Licey, who trail Aguilas Cibaenas, 2-1, in the best-of-seven championship series.

Kemp singled in the go-ahead run in the ninth inning of Game 3 on Tuesday, propelling Licey to a 3-2 victory. He also drove in both runs in Monday's 7-2 loss. The 22-year-old has been one of the better run-producers in the Dominican Republic, batting .265 with 12 RBIs in 19 playoff games.
