LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers have signed journeyman catcher Ken Huckaby and journeyman right-handed pitcher Travis Smith to Minor League contracts with invitations to Major League Spring Training camp.
Huckaby, 35, has played parts of the past six seasons with five different Major League teams after originally being drafted and signed by the Dodgers. He played in eight games with Boston in 2006.
Smith, 34, has pitched parts of five seasons in the Major Leagues, including one start with the Atlanta Braves in 2006. He was originally drafted by Milwaukee in 1995.
