LOS ANGELES -- Juan Uribe gave a thumbs-up Friday upon his return to the clubhouse after an X-ray was taken of his left arm.

Uribe was a scratch from Friday night's lineup because the arm swelled after being hit by a 92-mph Tim Lincecum fastball in the sixth inning of Thursday's Opening Day win over his former club, the Giants.

Uribe had stayed in the game and left the clubhouse Thursday night believing it was only a bad bruise of the triceps area just above the elbow.

But increased swelling Friday prompted the X-ray. Aaron Miles was in the lineup at third base in place of Uribe, who had been moved to third base while Casey Blake is on the disabled list with back soreness.

Uribe signed a three-year, $21 million deal as a free agent to leave the Giants and join the Dodgers.
