SAN FRANCISCO -- The Dodgers received upbeat medical news on infielder Jamey Carroll and outfielder Scott Podsednik.
Carroll had an MRI on his left wrist Thursday, but there is no structural damage and he's expected to resume playing in a few days. Carroll said he hurt the wrist Friday night in Houston on a swing.
A second medical opinion on Podsednik's tender left foot confirmed the original diagnosis of plantar fasciitis. He will receive an injection and surgery has been ruled out for now. He is expected to return to Los Angeles from Dallas, where he had a Wednesday exam, and continue therapy with team trainers.
