Dodgers on the mound: Right-hander Brett Tomko surrendered three unearned runs on four hits in a four-inning stint. After the Angels' Casey Kotchman reached on second baseman Sergio Garcia's fielding error with two outs in the first, Rivera blasted a three-run home run into the visitors' bullpen beyond the left field wall.

Angels on the mound: Starter Ervin Santana walked four batters, hit one and allowed two runs in four inconsistent innings. Lefty Dan Davidson, a non-roster invitee, worked three perfect relief innings, striking out two.

Up next: The Dodgers host the Atlanta Braves in an Opening Day matinee on Monday at 1:10 p.m. PT at Dodger Stadium. They'll send right-hander Derek Lowe to the mound to face righty Tim Hudson. The Angels visit Safeco Field and the Seattle Mariners for a 2:05 p.m. PT first pitch on Monday. Right-hander Bartolo Colon opposes Mariners southpaw Jamie Moyer.
