SAN DIEGO -- Dodgers outfielder Manny Ramirez has reported to the club's Camelback Ranch-Glendale complex in Arizona to continue his recovery from a strained right calf.
Ramirez went on the 15-day disabled list July 17, and manager Joe Torre said his left fielder is still more than a week away from returning. Torre said Ramirez is not yet scheduled to resume game action and will remain in Arizona at least through this week.
"It's safe to say it'll be more than a week" before he plays games, Torre said. At that time he figures to need a Minor League rehab assignment.
This is the third stint on the disabled list this year for the 38-year-old Ramirez, who is hitting .317 with eight homers and 39 RBIs in 61 games. The Dodgers played their 100th game Tuesday night against the Padres.
